Stephen Darby, Founder and executive director

Stephen founded the Alabama Rights Restoration Coalition in May 2018. He serves as its chief strategist and voice for the organization's mission, values, and goals. He is a native of Andalusia, Alabama. Prior to founding ARRC, he attended The George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC and received his J.D. in 2017. In law school, he interned for the Fairfax County (VA) Office of the Public Defender, where he assisted his supervisor on the felony docket. He also interned for the Northern Virginia Capital Defender's Office on cases involving the death penalty, as well as an internship for the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. He graduated from Auburn University in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Economics.
